AS you see many reviews will say this Tower 900 is a "Massive" case this is not true it is big in my opinion, the reason why others class it massive is because they came from a small tower case, but I came from a Corsair air 740 case over time the window and parts will get scratch up that is the reason why I change it the Tower 900 is all metal and tempered glass only one part is the top made of thick plastic.Don't believe other reviews saying this case is only for "custom water cooling" But in fact when Thermaltake design the tower case it show all three ways of cooling your computer in the manual book if you down load it from the Thermaltake webpage you can see for yourself. My TT 900 Black Edition.I install 3x Corsair HD120mm RGB fans in the front also one HD140mm RGB fan at the top in the front I also use the two case fans and put them in the back and I add 3x 120mm Blue LED fans to right side at the back plus I install a Blue Led fan at the top in the back to finish my build but my build is not over next year 2018 I will install a small fan controller and a small screen in the centre also do some more moding to finish my workAbout tower 900Is 75cm high x 42cm wide x 48cm depth it weight is 25kg without hardware the box is between 1-2kg so the total is 27kg the tower has three high quality 5mm thick tempered glass panels the largest is the front it supports four 120/140mm fans on each side of the tower also two at the top 120/140mm and 120/140mm at the back and one above the HDD cage in the centre total of 13 fans, what it comes with is 6 HDD and 2 SSD or 8x SSD but you can extend it to 12 HDDs or 18 SSD you will have to buy the HDD cage from Thermaltake, the tower supports AIO 120mm, 240mm and 360mm rads As for Custom water cooling it can take from 120mm up to a 580mm rad on each side it is also a DMD – "Dismantlable Modular Design" every part can be removed in the TT 900 for easy building. It's Limitations supports a CPU Air cooler no more than a 260mm also supports up to 400mm VGA card and PSU 220mm also it in the back is the bag of accessory's they also give you two (AF-AM) USB's for your keyboard and mouse and a buzzer. As for the dust filters every vents on the TT 900 have all easy to remove dust filters. and at the top you have 4x 3.0 USB. also one 5.25 bay for a DVD rom or fan controller. The colours is Black Edition or Snow EditionIf do Air coolingYou will only need three/two 120/140mm fans on one side of the case in the back on the side to cool your HDD's and one at the back top if you want to you can use the case fans and install them at the back but you will need to extend the fan cables to the motherboard by this way. In the front you can only install one 120/140mm fan above the HHD cage also one in the front top 120/140mm fan.Modding tipsIf you use fan rack in the back you can install two 120/140mm fans on it and place it above the front HHD cage and screw it in, or you can install two of the fan racks but you will need to unscrew the other one and place one over the other like over lapping a bit to install all three 120mm fans only on it then place it onto the centre HDD cage but you might or might not have to drill a small hole in one of the fan racks to fit and then screw into place I only found out this way after I buy the fan rack from another seller and cut and drill it in place it was hard work because I had to takeout the centre HHD cage and side parts and then install the 120mm 3x fan rack and rebuild the HHD cage and side parts again then place it back into the case I want you to know an easy way of doing it.We learn by are mistakesDIYIf you like DIY Just buy a aluminium sheet and download a 120mm fan cut-out from online and stick all 3x 120mm onto the aluminium sheet then and cut the holes out one by one. take you time then spray it black then install it above the front centre HHD cage all done.Only for AIOYou only need one fan rack to install a 240mm/280mm AIO on the fan rack and then place above the front centre HHD cage and screw it in place with the screws if your AIO tubes are longer you can install it on the same side of your CPU in the back on the side. but you can only install one 120/140 AIO in the front top unless you want to start to drill allots of holes at the front top of the case then you can install a 240mm AIO.The tower 900 is not for everyone I know that but the size shouldn't put you off and what people say in their own opinions in fact it is a nice design and worth every penny and more it's the best case I ever had and to work in for years and I have been a system builder for 20 years. The reason why I buy this Black Edition tower case above all the other cases on the market is it's design and its beaut and it not only to show off your hardware it's also to show your skills as a system builder to your friends and familyI have added some images.Happy building

If you want a near silent high-end PC then this is almost certainly the case for you. My previous water cooled builds in other cases have been silent when idle but the radiator fans would always ramp up to a noticeable volume when under load to maintain a sensible water temperature. This mainly comes down to 2 things which is radiator space and airflow and in a smaller case you will struggle to provide enough of either for high-end components.

This case is really big, certainly when compared to pretty much anything else. Yes, there are large cases out there but this really is the biggest I've seen and believe me when I say it really is the size of a small fridge! Speaking of fridges, this case really does keep a high end PC very cool whilst putting out very little noise.

I've installed a Black Ice Nemesis GTX 560 and Black Ice SR2 Xtreme+ 280 MP radiator into the rear of this case and even under heavy load (2080Ti and Intel i9 9900X @ 4.8GHz) the 10x Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 PWM fans barely go above 30% and that means blissful silence. One thing to be aware of with 560mm radiators is that if you put the inlet/outlets at the bottom of this case you will need right angled adapters due to the position of the PSU. Right angled adapters do have a negative effect on flow rate and if you are concerned about this you should locate the inlet/outlets at the top of the case (which makes it much more difficult to drain the loop).

Technically you could build most PCs into this case with little-to-no modification but really this case is designed for custom water loops. I've not made many modifications to the case for my requirements but it's worth noting that the pump brackets are specifically designed for ThermalTake D5 pumps and most other pumps will not fit without some kind of custom bracket. I've chosen to go with an Aqua Computer D5 Next RGB and had to construct my own bracket out of some metal brackets, nuts, bolts and rubber grommets. I needed to use a hacksaw and Dremel to get the desired results but this is really a simple mod compared to many other builds in this case out there!

Things to be aware of when building in this case:
    - Pump brackets are specifically designed for ThermalTake D5 pumps
    - If you plan on putting a fan controller in the front of the case you may need several PWM extension cables (or you can extend them yourself with a soldering iron and heat shrink!).
    - You'll need long SATA cables if you want to use the 2.5" drive bays at the front of the case
    - Your PSU will need long cables for some of the runs and a modular PSU is highly recommended.
    - When the tempered glass sides are on the case it weighs a whopping 27KG without any components. I highly recommend some castor wheels which are not supplied with the case. Emuca make some 50mm ones available on Amazon (ASIN: B01BFA2CIQ)

I'm using an Aqua Computer Aquaero 6XT to control the fans in this case. It has a really neat feature that you can create a Virtual Temperature sensor for your Water Delta T (Water Temp - Ambient Temp) and use this to control the speed of your fans. In my system I have chosen a Delta T of 10 degrees so the Aquaero dynamically adjusts the fan speed to maintain this water temperature.

I'm really happy with this case and it should tied me over for years to come

    Pros:
    - Good value considering how much you get for your money
    - Loads of space to build pretty much whatever you want
    - Decent airflow means a cool and quiet PC
    - Capacity for 2 x 560mm radiators
    - Supports dual loop designs with brackets for 2 pumps in the front of the chassis
    - Tempered glass front and sides
    - Supports 12 x 140mm fans

    Neutral:
    - It's massive

    Cons:
    - Pump brackets only support ThermalTake pumps
    - Doesn't come with castors/wheels
    - Only 1 5.25" drive bay

    Absolutely HUGE case.

I've decided to use Amazon as a build log, so this review will be updated and more pics added as I go along.

First impressions out of the box: Wow, this is big, I thought my ThermalTake P5 case was big, but wow, this is like a mini-fridge. It's also heavy, very heavy, and that's without any hardware in it (27Kg to be exact). The 5mm tempered glass will have something to do with that weight, but, my, does the glass look good! Has a slight tint to it too.

You get you bag of typical goodies included - Raisers screws for the mobo, spare case screws, standoffs, cable ties, a buzzer for the motherboard alarm etc. along with the User Manual. The manual seems good, nice illustrations, seems written in an easy to understand way.

There are two fans already installed in the top of the case (140 x 140 x 25mm) They are 1000rpm, I think I'll leave those in. As for the rest of the cooling system, and that's exactly what this beast of a case is built for, there is space in the back for 2 radiators to stand vertically at either side. The left side supports up to 480mm, and the right side supports up to 560mm. That's a lot of rad space and it's positioned perfectly in my opinion. However, I won't be using the maximum size on either side, I've opted for two 240mm radiators. I will have one on either side, and may eventually add a third 240mm rad and third pump/res so my CPU and both GPUs are all individually cooled on their own loops.

The space for the pump/res, are located at the front, and are situated like the radiators in the back, one on either side. It's not going to matter how big your reservoir is because as far as I know, they don't make any that would be too big. I'm going with two Thermaltake PR22 D5's - and possibly, in the future, a smaller pump/res combo to sit on the box in the middle of the case where the Thermaltake logo badge is. On the side of this box are two slots for SSDs, I've added mine in and uploaded a pic so you can see it. I think that was a nice place to put the brackets for them.

You can fit any motherboard you want in is, ATX, E-ATX, it even lists Mini and Micro ATX, but if you're putting a mini or Micro ATX mobo in this case I think it's going to look a bit out of place lol..... I've gone with the Gigabyte Z270X-DESIGNARE, I'm just waiting on my CPU to get here and then I'll fit that in and upload a pic. You'll need to install your CPU's waterblock before you screw your mobo on to the case, as the HDD bays in the back block access to the back of the motherboard. Or you could just remove the HDD bays, but that seems like a longer way around it, unless you're not keeping them in.

There are 4 x 3.0 USB connections on the front of the case, no 2.0s which is good as they aren't really needed these days. There is a bay on the front for a DVD/optical drive, or as I'm using it for, a fan controller.

Plenty of holes for cable management, plenty of space for everything, plenty of awesomeness, I love this case, and look forward to finishing my build with it.

More info and pics to come as I progress. Check back periodically if you're interested in updates. :) Happy building x

    EDIT 1:
What I said about needing to put your CPUs waterblock on before you fit your mobo in was wrong, the back on the case is actually detachable with 4 thumb screws. Pic included.

    EDIT 2:
Radiators added in the back, easy to fit in, plenty of space - No hassle.

    EDIT 3:
Put the reservoirs in, and finished the CPU loop along with the RAM and some extra lighting and fans, the space in the case really allows you to work with hardline tubing so easily, no problems (pic included)

    FINAL EDIT:

Well, it took me a while but I finished. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give this case. Absolutely love it. The pictures speak for themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thermaltake The Tower 900 ist Super

5.0 out of 5 stars È un bestione enorme

    Assolutamente soddisfatto

5.0 out of 5 stars Brutal!!

    5.0 out of 5 stars
